Anti-Spam Policy

1. Commitment against unsolicited messages

ViaWarn Technologies, operator of roofsnowbros.ca, strictly prohibits promoting this website through unsolicited commercial electronic messages (CEMs), commonly known as "spam."

This policy applies to ViaWarn Technologies, its employees, its agents and any third party acting on its behalf or in its name.

2. Prohibited practices

  • Sending bulk commercial electronic messages promoting this website to recipients who have not consented to receive them
  • Using purchased, rented or harvested ("scraped") email lists to promote this site
  • Sending messages with false or misleading sender information
  • Sending messages whose subject line does not accurately reflect the content
  • Omitting a working unsubscribe mechanism from a CEM
  • Posting comments, reviews or messages on third-party forums, blogs or social networks to promote this site in an unsolicited way

3. Commercial communications permitted under CASL

ViaWarn Technologies complies with Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL, S.C. 2010, c. 23). We send commercial communications only in the following cases:

a) Express consent

The recipient has given prior express consent to receive CEMs from us, for example by submitting a quote request form or subscribing to our communications.

b) Implied consent — conspicuously published business addresses

Under paragraph 10(9)(a) of CASL, we may send a CEM to a business email address when all of the following conditions are met:

  • The email address has been conspicuously published by its owner (business website, professional directory, public profile)
  • The owner has not indicated that they do not wish to receive unsolicited CEMs at that address
  • The message is directly relevant to the recipient's business, role or functions

c) Implied consent — existing business relationship

Under subsection 10(10) of CASL, we may send a CEM to a person with whom we have an existing business relationship, meaning a person who made a service, quote or information request in the previous six (6) months, or who entered into a contract or transaction with us in the previous two (2) years.

4. Message content

Every commercial electronic message sent by ViaWarn Technologies:

  • Clearly identifies the sender (ViaWarn Technologies)
  • Contains valid contact information (mailing address or email)
  • Includes a working, free unsubscribe mechanism that is processed within ten (10) business days

5. Unsubscribe

If you receive a message from us and no longer wish to receive our communications, you can:

  • Use the unsubscribe link included in the message
  • Email [email protected] with "Unsubscribe" in the subject line

Your request will be processed within ten (10) business days.

6. Third parties and partners

Any partner, affiliate or subcontractor promoting this website on our behalf must comply with this policy and with CASL. Any violation results in immediate termination of the business relationship.

7. Reporting abuse

If you received an unsolicited message promoting roofsnowbros.ca in violation of this policy, please report it to us:

Please include a complete copy of the message (including headers) so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

8. Enforcement

Any person or entity that violates this policy may face:

  • Immediate termination of any contract or business relationship with ViaWarn Technologies
  • A report to the relevant authorities, including the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission (CRTC)
  • Any legal action permitted by law
